The album art contains the ‘Agrateku Cipher’, which has never been solved. The music Dawnwalker create is as equally enigmatic, interestingly blending styles like Prog, Black Metal, Folk and Post-Rock into a cohesive whole. Cerebral and expansive, tracks like ‘The Wheel’ and 'Ancient Sands’ impress with the contrast between primal screams and choral, multi-layered harmonies. The closest comparison I can make is with maudlin of the Well or Kayo Dot, but Dawnwalker is a unique proposition.
